A few years ago, we launched two businesses: a tech startup and a venture firm. We were overwhelmed managing dozens of employees and investments across different countries and continents. We had to set up international bank accounts, create new entities, manage our books and do all the other things that running a business entails.
OOO Our businesses and problems were complicated and growing. We needed someone or something that could provide specific expertise and care. But we never found a solution, so we decided to make one for ourselves.
Eventually, we started helping other people who had similar problems. They needed to pay contractors in other countries. They needed to prepare for an audit. Sometimes, they just needed to get payroll up and running. Whatever it was, we handled it.
We realized that we had solutions that other businesses needed. So we created Spira Capital to provide those solutions to our clients with the same level of care, service and expertise that we would want.

Arie provides fractional accounting support. She handles bookkeeping, month-end reconciliations and payroll management among other duties for our clients. She has previously worked at a PEO supporting multi-entity payroll and accounting operations.
Ethan is a Spira co-founder and fractional CFO. He is also the founder of the early stage VC firm Newtype Ventures. Prior to these roles, he managed investments for a family office. He has worked at Google, BCG, Capital One and Affirm in finance, consulting and data science roles. He is a finance graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Natalie is a fractional COO. She works all the way from the ground level to the C-suite with our clients. Prior to joining Spira, she designed the operations infrastructure for family offices, fintech startups, VC firms, solopreneurs and attorneys.
Océane is a fractional hybrid. She can help clients in both operations and financial controls and relishes problem-solving for them. Prior to Spira, she designed operational processes and managed accounting needs for creative studios, nonprofits, investment firms and startups.
Sean is a Spira co-founder. He is also the Head of Product for a San Francisco tech startup. Prior to these roles, he founded and ran an Africa-based neobank startup. He has held roles in data analytics and product at Capital One, Credit Karma, and VRBO. He is an engineering graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
